Phusu Batu (Celtis sinensis) or also known as Chinese hackberry is one of the popular types of plants used as Bonsai. The native habitat of this plant grows on slopes at an altitude of 100–1500 m in Anhui, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guizhou, Henan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shandong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, and other provinces in China, as well as Korea and Japan. The leaves and bark of this plant are used in Korean medicine to treat menstruation and lungs. This type of plant has also been cultivated in Indonesia and is commonly used as a Bonsai plant.
