The Dewandaru tree has the Latin name Eugenia uniflora. In Indonesia, this plant is spread across the islands of Java and Sumatra.

This tree is more than 5 meters tall with a woody stem. The leaves are oval and pointed with a length of 5 cm and a width of about 4 cm.

The flowers are small white. The fruit is round, measuring 1.5 cm and has segments resembling flowers. The color of the fruit is red, orange, yellow, and green. The seeds are hard, small, and brown.
